Renewal and Hope: Renew Your Own Joy by Creating Hope For Others

     My name is Rev. Mike Watson—“Father Mike” as they call me at my church, St. Luke’s Episcopal Church in Somers, New York.  My goal in life right now is to let people know that when we do things for those of our fellow human beings that are less fortunate than we, there is always a benefit that we receive. It is that we receive joy from being a force of renewal for another. 

     What we often fail to realize is that our joy affects everything about our own attitudes about life and about our relationship with others--our satisfaction in our jobs, our relationships with loved ones, neighbors, and even with our society at large.
